I have been blown away by the number of people who have responded to my post last week about George, our customer at Cadence.
I told him last week that so many of you have emailed me, messaged me, or commented to say you are praying for him. Tears welled up in his eyes and he asked,
“For me? They prayin for me?”
“Yes sir,” I told him, he just shook his head and walked away to cream and sugar his coffee.
Late last week some kind friends bought him a load of groceries. George came in this morning and unpacked every bag. “What’s this?” he’d ask me. He was like a kid at Christmas. These folks thought of everything, and he was literally blown away. One by one he took out some of his bounty and said, “Looky here! That’ll be good to eat!”
He travels on foot downtown, so he asked if we could keep the stash here, and he would come back this week and get a little at a time.
“Church folk, they good folk, ain’t they?” he asked.
“They are,” I told him.
“These folks love Jesus, George and Jesus loves you, so they love who He loves, that means they love you!”
He simply, shook his head and said, “The Lord is good to me!”
Thanks for loving on George friends.
Who is the “George” that God has brought into your world?
How can you love them today?
